This largely happen to male cats when a feminine has urinated.

Knowing these natural instincts and behaviors will offer you some insight coaching your cat.  With behavior training you may need to create sure that you permit your cat the power in some approach to play out its natural instincts and behaviors.

If a behavior is turning into impossible, you will have to resort to the baby proof home, all containers that have food in them have a lid on it.  Build certain {that the} counters are clean and have nothing {that a} cat would need to play with.

You will need to start coaching your cat or kitten almost immediately after you get them.  This can stop many unwanted behaviors and hopefully not let any new unhealthy behaviors to start.
